麻豆社区app and the University of Redlands are a solid match with complementary educational programs and experiences. As with Woodbury, nearly half of the student body at the University of Redlands is first-generation, and more than half represent minority populations. 麻豆社区appniversity of Redlands also shares a philosophy of smaller class sizes and strong career and professional support, creating a comprehensive educational experience. 听

In addition to a beautiful and historic campus roughly an hour drive east of Burbank in Redlands, California, the University of Redlands also includes campuses in the Bay Area and Austria, as well as study away opportunities in Europe, Central and South America, Africa, the Pacific Islands, and Asia.听

In addition to some amazing resources offered by Woodbury, the University of Redlands also boasts one of the strongest career services in Southern California, matching students with top companies and a supportive alumni network throughout the region. The Redlands Office of Career & Professional Development (OCPD) provides internship and career support, including a network of more than 50,000 alumni working in highly recognized, leading companies, serving in public office, and making a splash in entertainment.听

Why did 麻豆社区app seek a merger with another school?

In the Fall of 2023, Woodbury approached the University of Redlands to consider the feasibility of merging. After a detailed, multi-month study and announcements of intent to students, faculty, staff, and alumni of both institutions, a definitive agreement was signed in January 2024 confirming that the merger would proceed.

Why was the University of Redlands selected as the partner for the merger?

Woodbury selected Redlands for the clear alignment of mission and values. Both universities are designated Hispanic Serving Institutions, emphasize community service learning, and are embracing sustainability education within academic programs, among many other commonalities. Woodbury鈥檚 strengths will bolster Redlands as much as Redlands鈥� strengths will uplift and continue Woodbury鈥檚 legacy of excellence.

What will the University be named after the merger?

The Woodbury name will continue to be reflected in several academic programs, honoring the institution鈥檚 distinguished legacy while carrying its strengths into the future. 麻豆社区appniversity of Redlands, Los Angeles, will be organized into the following academic units.

  • Woodbury Business Institute (within the听School of Business & Society)
  • Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (within the听College of Arts & Sciences)
  • College of Architecture, Design and Media, within which are the following schools:
    • Woodbury School of Architecture
    • Woodbury School of Design and Media听Arts

How will the merger benefit current students?

For students, this integration is intended to broaden and enhance the already strong Woodbury educational experience. Woodbury students will have access to additional resources and experiences, including study-away options such as the Salzburg semester, enhanced May Term offerings, student life and high-impact practice experiences, more interdisciplinary study opportunities, expanded library and campus resources, and career and professional support. Just as important, they will continue to benefit from the academic strengths and hands-on experiences that have long been part of a Woodbury education.

Will Woodbury鈥檚 programs maintain their high-caliber accreditation?

Woodbury and Redlands each have the same main accreditation from WSCUC, and therefore accreditation will remain intact after the merger.

The merged institution will听maintain听accreditations including:

  • NAAB, CIDA, AACSB, ACBSP, and WSCUC
  • Memberships: AICAD, ACSA, CUMULUS
  • We听will discontinue听our accreditation by NASAD, as many other听schools of arts听and design (members of听the听AICAD听consortium) have done.

What should Woodbury alumni know about their degrees and transcripts after the merger

All alumni degrees and academic records will remain valid after the merger process. Transcripts and adjustments can be requested through the听

Spring/Summer 2026 graduates will receive a Woodbury diploma; Fall 2026 and beyond will receive a University of Redlands diploma, with the Woodbury school unit noted on it.

How will the University of Redlands stay connected with alumni?

Throughout this transition, we have worked to keep alumni informed through town halls, FAQs, web updates, and other communications.

As we move forward together, alumni remain an essential part of our shared future. Your degree, your experiences, and the connections you built at Woodbury continue to matter. As part of the University of Redlands community, Woodbury alumni will have opportunities to stay connected with one another, engage with current students, and participate in a broader network of alumni, faculty, programs, and University traditions.
