Congratulations to Cheng Gu, Applied Computer Science graduate (’20), for having his work accepted into the for , the world-renown annual conference showcasing computer graphics and interactive techniques.
Judy Kriger, Chair of Woodbury鈥檚 Animation program, submitted Cheng鈥檚 creation of a 鈥淩estaurant Rendering鈥 designed in her 3D Animation course. Cheng鈥檚 work will be displayed at the virtual conference, Aug. 24-28, and on SIGGRAPH鈥檚 official .
According to SIGGRAPH, 鈥淲hen researchers, artists, and technologists collide, inspiration creates progress. SIGGRAPH conference content is selected by a jury of experts who find the most transformative advancements across computer graphics and interactive techniques.鈥
鈥淚鈥檓 over the moon about Cheng鈥檚 work being accepted to SIGGRAPH, said Kriger, 鈥淭his is a very competitive show with a double-juried selection process, so it鈥檚 a real coup for Woodbury to be recognized in this way. Cheng was an excellent student and has a very bright future ahead of him.鈥 听听
