Infusing a Spiritual Dimensions in Management Scholarship

In recent months, Dr. Satinder Dhiman, Associate Dean School of Business and Director of the MBA program, has made an impressive series of contributions to the scholarly database of spiritual management. His single-authored book,聽Bhagavad Gi虅ta虅 and Leadership: A Catalyst for Organizational Transformation聽was published by Palgrave MacMillan. This work highlights the much-needed moral and spiritual dimension of leadership in a聽most distinctive way. It employs an inside-out leadership development approach based on self-knowledge and self-mastery–two highly important areas for practicing effective self-leadership.
Additionally, Dr. Dhiman published an anthology, titled聽Managing By the Bhagavad Gi虅ta虅: Timeless Lessons for Today鈥檚 Managers聽(Dhiman, S. & Amar, A.D.[Eds.], Springer, 2019). This work applies the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad G墨t膩 to management in order to address modern management dilemmas. Also active in India, Dr. Dhiman published聽Spiritual Leadership. English, Hindi, and Gujarati: A Trilingual Edition聽(Gujrat, India: Shree Sw膩m墨n膩r膩 yan Temple, Kundaldh膩m & K膩relib膩ug-Vadodar膩).

Dr. Dhiman also served as the lead author in聽a scholarly article,聽published in聽The Journal of Values-Based Leadership聽Vol. 12: Issuue,聽1聽Article 6, titled, “Celebrating Diversity through Spirituality in the Workplace: Transforming Organizations Holistically.” Co-authors to this work are Sanjay Modi and Varinder Kumar.
